Ok whats the trick to putting up bird netting

I started on one side put that on, pulled it tight. When i get to the other side it has to be all folded and its way shorter. This crap is my new found enemy

Please if someone knows how to work with this crap, let me know! Do you have to put it on all loose?

I really dont know but any time I have seen it if I remember right it was always loose

Oh well This is just temporary while I babysit a couple goslings, so i will do the best i can. I would be horrified if something got them under my watch.
