Here's a great website on genetics- advanced, and it has some great pictures of the colours including the genetics of chick down colours. Now I FINALLY know what wheaten is!!!

Hi FB we're on both forums..... it's funny because that's my post. Very Happy  I tried to use my same user name from the ontario poultry swap on this one, but it wouldn't let me use it here, even though it's not taken. Strange. Yes that's a very useful website and from it I learned that it's a good idea to take photos of the chick down for future reference, if you plan on breeding.

Hi Derbyshire thanks for that link I find any tid bits that can help break down genetics so very helpful, it's so full of information. :0) what is your name on the Ontario forum? I guess I lucked out with my name on the forums when I think of Cochins I just think how cute there fluffy bottoms are so that is how the name came about.
