As an adult student, I had to do a paper for my English 30 class on the Margaret Laurence book 'The Diviners'. I forget exactly what the paper was supposed to be about. I just remember it had to take the point of the main character, her strengths of being a positive female role model. Something like that.
I DISLIKED this book. I couldn't read. Each time I tried to read it, I fell asleep. Didn't like the main character. Couldn't relate to her. Everytime I went to write my report, I ended up drawing scribbles. Worse was my English teacher held the author in high regard. She was a big fan of Margaret Laurence. She also had a rep of totalling destroying papers she felt were half-assed done.
I had over 1 month to do the report. The weekend before having to hand it in, I read the book and did the notes. I was sitting in the parking lot at school, Monday morning, rewriting my working reporting in my car. I launched into the class literally 10 minutes before it was over to hand in my paper, saying I had car problems. This paper which counted for a big part towards my final mark.
If I can push through something I absolutely disliked, I'm sure you will do great because you like what you are doing. Just push all the stresses out of your mind and treat the paper as you would any other paper you've done. Also remember to still take breaks and sleep. Rest is still important. 20 minutes power naps work wonders.
You will do fine.
