Products like these are absorbed into the hosts system, and affect the pests that way, not through direct contact.

The tiny drops also flow over the animal's surface area, Cynthia. The drops work fine and I plan to use them again if they are more effective than the spray. But I ordered the spray this time so we will see how convenient it is.

Perry, you shouldn't need the Ivormec if you use Frontline. The Frontline will kill any lice your birds may have.

CynthiaM ~ I know many people who use Frontline spray. Spray or drops, both will work fine. Though I use Frontline drops, I also use sprays made by Hagen that you can buy in Canada. I find they work for immediate relief for my birds. One spray is a foam. As I keep crested breeds, crested are prone to crawlies. The foam sticks and doesn't drip down into the eyes and nostrils.
