I am sorry to hear about that, Shipping eggs can be touchy, I have had over 800 eggs shipped to me this year most arrived great a few arrived with lots broken I will say the shipper did replace them but it was the post offic fault all were packed well. The person that blasted you in an open forum should be ashamed, the least that he or she could have done was wait for another reply from you, but some people are not always nice and kind. You are a good person and from what I have seen an honest person and have good stock. Take care and let this one go, the person is not worth it.

I'm glad the other post is gone then. I did roll my eyes Rolling Eyes I am very much looking forward to receiving eggs, and attempting to ship some back...although I am still very nervous!
But...I probably wouldn't try it with anyone else. Meeting & chatting with you "online" makes me feel more confident & happy that there is someone out there, way out there (lol) willing to show a newbie the shipping ropes.
Chin up & keep your groove on!!

Hi Jayme, I did not read this other post but can see that many other people on here have. It would appear that the general consensus is this person was way out of line. I have only shipped eggs to one other person so far. It is a learning experience! Feedback is important so that we can improve if needed but it needs to be done fairly! I am looking forward to sending Pops Coops some eggs soon and hope that he will get great results. I agree with Giddyup that when you 'talk to and meet' people on line it gives you confidence knowing that someone out there is willing 'to show us the shipping ropes'. When I sent my first and second batches to Prairie Chick I was so nervous but she kindly sent me links and and offered suggestions on how to make it a good experience. Pops coops is right this person is not worth it!

Jayme I just want to agree with all that everybody has said. Unfortuatly
you cannot please everyone 100% of the time (even though you give it
your best shot). Hard not to take it personally when you really DO
CARE about how you run your business. Everyone that has dealt with you
knows that you are doing more than your best to fulfill any promises or
obligations that you have made. Easy to say hard to do but try to let
this one go like water off a duck's back.

Hope the rest of the week goes better.

You guys are all so great, thanks for the wonderful posts.
I have made some changes to my shipping and I think it is working better now. I still like the foam idea because it keeps the eggs upright and secure. I figured I need to change the boxes, make more room on the top and bottom. I think the jarring in transit or conveyors or however they do it is too much for double layered eggs. So i have double boxed anything more than 18 eggs, will see if that helps.
Just sent some to PC and none were broken. Used a larger box with lots of padding around all the eggs, seemed to do well.
I just need to ship out to Ontario now to see if it helps since that seems to be the place of ISSUE...

I cannot believe that anyone would do that. On your former site you had the most recommendations as a seller of anyone on the site. Up in the hundreds wasn't it?

As I guess your other eastener, I can only say that you always go above and beyond the call of duty. Like the first time - when I asked you to send chicks. You had never done it before, but found out how to do it and they all arrived happily and well. And of course they entertained everyone in the cargo department at the airport in Toronto.

Two shipments this year, and they were great. The second Ameraucana hatch is just finishing today as a matter of fact. A great hatch.

So don't let one person get you down. 99/100 isn't too darned bad!

Shortly after I joined a certain poultry community one of the very first things I learned was that Hidden River Ranch means quality. I think that speaks for itself in more ways than one. Wink Keep on keeping on Jayme. cheers
