The sale was a blast, many great people and a sell out for some of us, I sold all the EOs that I took and all the BLRW, all but 4 Marans, lots of customers.

Yes I agree you get to talk with the breeder and see the product, if it is good and people are happy they buy, the slae was Fantastic.

I enjoyed my time there as well.

Well, maybe I could get your help next year and I could learn how to hold one. Holdfast has a rink... 2 coops that way maybe sponsor...? PM if you want.

Murray has discussed this with me and basically one of the people in charge of running the draws didnt do it properly, made it so mostly his friends won door prizes and then pocketed some of the money from the draws.
It is up to Murray to disclose this person by PM or email, not on the open forum.
I would hope this person (whom I do not think is a member of this forum) would come forth and give back the money he took without reason. The profits were to go to charity since this was a non profit event, the sponsor wanted costs covered and the profit to go to a good cause, and unfortunatly with untruthful people in this world that did not happen and I understand why Murray and the sponsor are upset about it.

Just sucks that one bad apple can ruin a good thing for everyone.

That is why I did not buy any draw tickets, I was sort of suspect when I talked to person and thought something was just not right, Murray we will make this work for next year.

i hope it can all be worked out becouse it was a geat facility and sale we were just saying we would have to take some birds next year.

I've approached Murray about holding it about 45 minutes south of Watrous if he's not able to secure that arena next year. I would do it myself, but I've never done anything like it so I would need the knowledge he has to host it out my way.

I understand if he doesn't accept.

I hate douchebags, I'd just like to say that outloud. People like that who screw over good people like Murray should be kicked and then put in a pen with very aggressive, hungry, man eating turkeys.

Just sayin.

I'll update this shortly. One thing I do know is The money I was in control of went to charity. $385.00 from Food and tables after my advertising went to the charity of the sponsors choice. Nothing from the donated prizes went to the function.

Very sad but the sponsors can not blame you for this next year if we get this venue we can do it different and call me I will help you out on the next one
