nothing chicken related...but man is it annoying-i think for bc boy to diagnose

I use a laptop
i use a mouse
i need to use a mouse
here's the problem.....
while i am typing away, something happens and all of a sudden i am in the body of my letter typing away, instead of at the end of my ramblings.... is it the mouse pad, that i am touching while i am typing that makes this happen?  i tend to rest my hands on the base of the laptop whilst typing away...and i am a fast typer, so...i am typing a lot of stuff before i realize that i have totally messed up my letter, and have to cut and paste to fix it.  Is this something that i can turn off?...this stray typing....it is like they have said...nope that is enough!...i want you to type here now.

Uno!..this is your fault...i took bourbon out to the chicken house to listen...and now listen to me.....

You can turn that touch pad off if you're using an external mouse... I used to have the same problem with my laptop
mine had a little touchpad symbol on the keyboard that I could turn off with a function key

So did you turn off the touch pad?

totally fixed it. When I'm travelling (I don't bring an external mouse then, waaay too much stuff in my bag) it's easy peasy to turn back on.
look at your keyboard.
mine has blue fn key by the left hand cntl button, then along the top under the f keys should be little blue symbols one of them is a touchpad button (looks like a square)
