The Cluck and Quack Poultry Club Sept sale has been canceled due to lack of volunteers. I volunteered! Sorry people.

as long as the weather is good, I have lots of yard and grass, and land and parking I do have some covered space but not lots.....Schipperkesue wrote:Hmmm, where to hold a sale?......
Yep. That's what it looks like in the central Okanagan too. Everyone is chicken-crazy in the spring, but by this time, everyone is over-run with birds and tired of dealing with the "extras" they can't get rid of. Spring is a much better time for sales, IMOheda gobbler wrote:Are fall sales really that good?
It seems to me everyone is getting rid of extra stock and no one is buying. That's what it is like around here anyway, winter is so cold and feed so expensive that no one wants to overwinter anything but the absolute minimum.
And all those extra roosters...
I have always sold what I have taken to the sale. I have gotten good prices for my birds because they are in good shape and well cared for. I sold a dark brahma hen for a very good price. She was a beautiful bird but I had no place for her.Beep wrote:Yep. That's what it looks like in the central Okanagan too.
