I'm really hoping that someone will know a little about this piece. My dad got it for my mom for their anniversary. They would like to know a bit about it. I think it is the coolest thing that I have seen for a long, long time. I am in love with it.

We were wondering if anyone knows how old it is, and what it would be worth? Also, what is the correct name for it.

It still had flour in it when they got it, and works. I will make another post about that though in a little bit.

It's pretty neat. It's tin lined. And has a little table to hand knead the bread dough too.

This is where the turn handle attaches. It has two speeds. It says Les Utilities Domestiques Ltee Quebec Can. That is the only writing we can find on the whole thing.

Not the same type of machine but you might find some ideas as to how to use it on this forum.

The one on that forum apparently involves just turning the handle for 3 minutes for each knead.

This is a commercial unit and very very rare mid to late 1800s Canadian. Were did you get it?

Thank you Fowler, and Pops Coops.

My parents found it in an antiques shop outside of Prince George, and loved it. It was a little trip that they went on for their Anniversary, and so my Dad got it for my Mom as a present.
