Can you clip a bantam duck's wing and not get disqualified?? Is it points off?

My young drakes have been exercising. We've just spent every spare minute over the last 2 weekends increasing our fencing to 8 feet tall over the entire 35x50(ish) ft pen. This morning he looks at me filling waters, goes up, and up, and up and lands on the coop roof.

stinker.

I was looking forward to our fall bird show but if we have to clip we will (if we're not too late!)

I'm about 99% sure that clipping wings on any bird will get it DQ'd

it is a DQ. i think there may be a few breeds you can do it to but if its an bantam i think you cant. i think you could still show but it will be taken away from the bird and it wont do great.

Thanks!
I hung more twine strips from the overhead fishing line...hopefully that will deter him.

Wings cannot be clipped but they can be pinioned if they are smoothly healed, which is done as babies I believe.
