This is what the foam looks like, it has 18 holes.

I went with Miry on the foam shippers, I think they will be much less hastle then bubble wrapping each egg and I am hoping they will keep them more secure and stable.

What is the cost of the foams? I know the ones for turkey eggs are fairly costly. they do work quite well. However they add a lot to the cost to the purchaser for the price of the foam inserts or the return shipping.

Well we ordered up quite a few, it was under $5 to get them and the boxes that they fit into. I think very cost effective when you think of the shipping costs reduced due to the size we can put them into. If a person doubles up the shippers we can put 36 eggs into one box, and to put the same amount of eggs into a secure box using bubble wrap or other methods would be 2-3 times the size, so the purchaser is actually saving in the end.
Of course the foam shippers are not here yet....But hoping to do a few runs with them this year on shipping and hope they do as well as they are supposed to. Fingers crossed.

If you don't mind, where did you order from? Also wondering about the hatchability after shipping in the foam shippers. Some on other forums are indicating that they are getting very poor hatchability after shipping in the foam shippers compared to other methods.
I know the eggs come through unbroken but i did get a very poor hatch on the shipment of turkey eggs. Not sure why.

Well we will have to see how the hatchability is with them. Maybe put eggs in them myself and hold them there for 2-3 days like shipping then try hatching them compared to not in the shippers.
I would think they wouldnt be any worse then eggs wrapped up in bubble wrap, then wrapped up again. No air in there at all for them for the entire time of shipping. The foam you would think would leave more air room around the eggs, and the only concern I would have is shipping with them in the heat of the summer, might trap the heat on the eggs and decrease hatchability that way.

I wrap the eggs in paper towel, put them in the carton then fill the box with popcorn. Seems to work very well.

Hey Hidden River and Miry, where did you order those foam egg holders?
