price suprise!

o.k so my 80 chick order to st.johns NFLD, the box is fairly heavy we are guessing 30lbs with chicks ect inside 25 inches long 21 inches high, 7 inches high... air canada will cost $165.00
and west jet $122.25 thants NOT bad at ALL! i thought it would be a couple hundred! they are direct flights 10 hrs long but still...
here is a pic of the box hubby made with a feed trough inside and i will be putting cups with sponges/ superbooster inside...20 chicks per side with straw (only 12 in the pic) , heat pad and apple lslice as well..

we use WestJet for our bullies and also have used them on birds and alwys had great service with them.

That is a good price, Westjet seems always the cheapest way to go for animals and sometimes by a long shot. I am not sure that they accept wood for crate material, but I could be wrong. We have had to use plastic, metal or fiberglass instead and also attach muskito mesh even though it was winter then. The flight does not take 10 hours, more like 8.

they have to stop in toronto for a hour or so, makes it 10 hrs... there are directones as well for 8hrs..

Meant to say "arenot" lol. Only air canada has direct flights for the days I want to ship so we are going with the non direct one as it arrives earlier/leaves earlier than the direct, the direct flight would arrive there at midnight their time. Non direct arrives 8 pm.

Oh wow, I would love to hear how this all goes. Those are some cool chicks and they sure are travelling a long ways, how cool is that. Bet the people getting them will be thrilled!!
