So I have been keeping the roosters seperated, and only having scheduled appointments with the the proper hens. The other day my jersey roo got out and immediately jumped onto a copper maran hen. What will happen now? Will she continue with eggs fertilized by the proper original rooster or can she lay eggs fertilized by the jersey mixed in with the marans?

Yes now they will be mixes, about three weeks to a month before you can get pure breds again. Dang horny roosters.

Did he just jump on her and you got him off or did he breed her
if he bred her yes they will be mixed
but the hens will make a nice barn yard layers with darker eggs

Oh he got her all right. Will she still lay purebred ones from the previous rooster as well? Or is it the last one that nullifies all previous?

I would think her eggs today and tomorrow should be safely pure....they would be too far along to be affected by the new boy...
