First hatch of 2011!

It is so noisy here, the first hatch has hatched...I can see lots of little cheepers in there but am waiting 24 hours before I open to keep the humidity in. I can see at least one Orloff, some silkies and of course my very first hatch of Dominiques! So exciting, Chantecler_eh? is away overnight so he is missing out on the fun but will see them all tonight.

Thanks to HR the outdoor brooder is waiting so tonight I will pop them in there...

Congratts! That is awesome, hopefully Chantecler_eh? ends up with at least a pair of Orloffs. My hatch has started too, they are getting shipped out tomorrow morning, so everyone will be pulled out, fed and watered then boxed up and shipped tomorrow afternoon.
I have a couple Orloffs in this batch too so hopefully they hatch...

Well it looks like the final count is 22/26 eggs hatched.
They all look very healthy and plump.

16 Dominiques, 4 silkies(i think 1 is blue,1 kind of gray and 2 blackish) and YAY! 2 Russian Orloffs, both of them hatched)

Congrats!! They sound so cute

well, one good thing about not being there was that I didn't have to sit beside the incubator and watch them hatching...too much stress. Hoping for a pair of Orloffs, they sound really nice.
