I first met RuthC on ACE. She was a horsey lady and my kid was horsey and we started up a sometime chat based on horse stuff.

I learned today that she passed away December 24th, 2013.

I have no more information. She had suffered a back injury in the past year and was slowly recovering. This news comes as a complete shock.

I know some of you will recall RuthC from the other site. If she was a member here I think her horse riding and work kept her from posting very much in the past couple of years.

Forgive me for posting this if it has already been announced somewhere else. I might be the last to know. Just thought I would pass this along in case anyone was echatting with Ruth and found sudden silence.  Ride well, my friend.

Oh my gosh, I do remember RuthC from ACE though, not here, not sure if she posted here. I often wondered about her when sometimes I would read a post that had been resurrected and read some things she said. I think she was into cutting?? This is sad and awful news, yes, as you said, Uno, may she ride in peace, in that wild blue yonder beyond. This is sad news, always brings those feelings when I hear of someone passing on -- wishes for a beautiful day, CynthiaM.

Thank-you, Uno. I think many that knew and remembered Ruthc are here now. I had wondered where she had disappeared to and had thought several times to ask on the forums. I had been missing her and her wise words. There are people here who may have known her offline. She lived in the Elk Point area.

How sad that people can come in and out of your life and then be gone and you don't even know?

Uno, may I share your information on ACE? I know there are some old timers there who remember her.

Sue, I have not been on ACE in a long time and logged in last night to see if any announcements had been made. I was not able to find anything. If you feel you want to say something, I can't see why it would be a problem.

Her son has asked that if people want, they can make a donation to the SPCA in her memory since she loved animals greatly.

Today, the 18th, there is a service for her in Ft. St. John.

Wow thanks Uno for posting. I knew Ruth and met up with her many times, over the years she got busier with her horsey stuff and less of the farm stuff and we lost touch. It is a huge shock to hear that someone you knew has passed away.  Sad
Thought and prayers are with her family and friends.

My condolences go out to Ruth's family and friends. I do remember reading posts from her in the past but did not have any interaction with her. She is someone who will be missed by many.
