My silkies stopped laying too early this year, then started up again at the end of August. I wanted more birds to choose from so into the incubator a dozen and a half went and they are due to hatch tomorrow.
Then the Guinea hen went missing and I thought she was a goner. Nope. Sitting on a nest at the end of August. They are in the incubator and due to hatch next week.
Next the geese started to lay. In August. Really? I found a couple random eggs then nothing so I thought that was the end. Well, not by a long shot. By the first of September she was sitting on a clutch of 8 and sticking tight to them.
Tonight a goose was missing when I put them to bed. Where, oh where could she be? Well, you guessed it. She has a nest if her own. 4 eggs so far. What is up with this! I will be having goslings hatch mid October for Gordon's sake!
All I can say is if you are trying to get pregnant, forget the fertility treatments, just come and pay me a visit.
