Took the cupolas off the roof for repair and painting. Tin for the roof arrives on Thursday, so maybe I'll have a shiny new roof next weekend! Also, look, giant linear hole!

Look! A light!! This is the "storage" side of the coop. Now that I have electrical, I can work on it after the kids go to bed and get my shelving and stuff done. It will be glorious!

Yee ha! Aren't we lucky that the good weather keeps coming? The cat has "devil ears" - looks put out - something like "why are you ruining my lawn?" or "since when did chickens need electricity? - not like they read at night".

You are almost done!

I chant that at the poor chicken every time I see him.

that's a think of beauty Authentic - power to your coop and also your cornish - look at those leggies. got cornish on the brain right now. Your cat looks like he/she is planning the next toilet session, mine looked a little like that when they saw me turn the garlic bed over - as if just for their convenience!Razz

I never thought I would be so happy about electricity. Lol

I really am, though. I am so excited about it, you'd think I invented it.

And it only cost me materials, three suppers and two lunches. Smile

It is a great thing, electricity. It is amazing how many uses you find for it once you have it in a shed.

Things are certainly coming along for you! The building is probably as old as the one we have for the coop. Seeing as the house we are in is about 55 years old and the now coop was the homestead after the original homestead burned down however many years before that. I should really find out as one of our neighbours that is a range road over actually grew up here.

Interested to see how things progress even further!

The coop is more for my comfort than theirs. Lol my breeds are pretty tough and could do fine with a lot less!

Finished up some odd jobs today, including putting the exterior pop doors in the pop door holes.

I saved the drop siding from when we cut the holes, and put them back together and trimmed them with 1x2.
