Just wondering the distances everyone is travelling to get out there? For me, I have to be at Vancouver airport by 6 am Thursday morning. Westjet will have me in Edmonton for 10 am, then on to Red Deer with a good friend.

Anyone else flying? Driving times?

Mine is an easy trip. Only and hour and a bit, however with all the early mornings and late nights that will be happening, I have opted for a hotel room Fri Sat.

I feel like my trip to "Red Deer" started when Clayton"s birds arrived for me to sit until the show. With the long list of demands from Clayton and how spoiled his birds are it hasn't been easy. I know when I get my Brinsea products at the show it will make it all worth while. Laughing

My offical trip starts at 4 pm on Thursday, the prep has already started. Have to sheet in the trailer today, load and prepare the kennels. Then load in the birds Thursday afternoon, as soon as the kids get off the bus we are heading out. Hoping to be in Red Deer by 10 pm, thankfully for the time change because we should be there 9 pm Alberta time. Smile

Wow Sultan, we were going to go that route as well but figured the extra night in the hotel and a farm sitter was worth it to not drag ourselves out of bed at that hour... Have a safe trip everyone.

Luckily, we're only 1 1/2 hours away as long as the weather holds!

I'll leave DeBolt (65 km east of Grande Prairie), about 2 pm on Thursday. It is a bout 6 hours driving non-stop. Throw in an hour to an hour and 1/2 for meals and washroom breaks, I should get to hotel in Red Deer around 9 pm on Thursday night.

I wont be able to make the whole show as farm sitters are none existent here. So, I leave around 2 pm Friday, will get to Red Deer around 11 pm Friday, then I have Saturday to go to the show but have to leave by 2 to get back up here Saturday night.

We are lucky that my family is only 45 minutes away, and enjoy being at the farm. Or we would be stuck as well.

My prep has being going on for about a month now. I had family matters involving my dad to deal with that left me wanting to scream. But it was okay as I have a well worn brickwall that I have spent years banging my head against where he is concerned. Once I was able to settle him in so I wouldn't have to worry about his care, the attention was turn to the show.

We will be preping things here all day Thursday as we are only caging in Friday morning. It takes us about 2 hours to make it in to Red Deer. Fingers crossed that it looks good that the weather is going to be decent Smile

sorry to hear of this, family matters certainly can be very trying, hope your head is OK, smiling that big smile. Have a great time at the show everyone, and safe travelling, sounds like the roads are gonna be just fine!! Beautiful days, CynthiaM.
