We are having a area designated just for pigeon/poultry sales. We will be supplying tables, table skirting, shavings and 2 standard size poultry holes for $10.for the weekend. Feed for the sales bird will be supplied. Please contact me for booking of the sales area and how many poultry holes you will need. Don't feed those birds you are not going to use in the breeding pens all winter, especially with the price of feed now.

Sounds like a great deal!
Liz, are there also plans for a breeder's auction like last year?

Are you referring to the auction at the Wetaskiwin Show last February ? At this point we are not having an auction. I personal prefer buyer to deal directly with breeder to get more information and to stay motivated on the breed they are purchasing. We will be having an area for donated silent auction birds. Hope I answered your questions.

Liz, is this show also held in May? I really want to go but driving the end of November from my place is a lot more hazardous than in May.

If that's the same petting zoo that you had last November, it was fabulous. So cute seeing such a variety of fun breeds all together and so people friendly.

This is the same petting zoo we had last year. I am not sure of our 2013 schedule yet, there is talk of a summer lawn show but you didn't hear it from me. Hopefully we will have the same weather we did last year especially for our BC chicken friends.

Is it too late to reserve 2 poultry holes in the sales area?
Also, I am wondering if its possible to buy 2 more tickets for the banquet. I have to apologize for the last minute rush. I thought I was all organized, then plans changed and I'll have extra people with me Saturday. Embarassed

Thank you Liz! Just to clarify, I had already paid for one banquet ticket with my show entries, so this will make 3 for me all together.
After 2 full days of being surrounded by all those birds and animals, Im thinking a vegetarian meal might be very well recieved! Some may disagree however... Laughing

Looking forward to the Sales Area!
I will try to avoid bringing home too many extra pretty birds!
My excuse is it is just an early present for myself... Very Happy

I am wondering about getting a selling cage spot and then putting the info about the bird for sale there because the sale bird may be one that I am showing?
And I wont be able to be there on Sunday when you could put your info on the show cage?

Miry creek you are able to just sell your birds from the show cages.
Sales tags can be put on the cages as soon as the birds are done being judged.

Sounds ok but my understanding is that the birds wont be done being judged until 4:00 0r so on Sat and that doesnt give much time to advertise they are for sale...
