Lol, you're getting ducks!

I have two duck eggs due tomoorow with my chicks, but I think ideally I would do them seperate.

What kind of ducks are you getting?

so what did you run your humidity at during the incubation and lockdown through to hatching. I will be hathcing 1 set of trays per week now so wondering if the humidity will affect the other eggs still growing?

I have all of them in the incubator right now, with three goose eggs, everyday I open the door and mist the duck and goose eggs. Someone said to take them out and let them cool for 10 minutes or so, but I never seem to have the time to do that, so they just get a spray everyday. I also read to keep the spray bottle in the incubator so it is the same temp as the eggs, but I haven't don't that either. I hatched a few goose eggs last year and that is all I did.
Of course they didn't get a spray when the lockdown was on and chicks were hatching. I really havn't done that many so not sure how it affects the other eggs.

I just incubated 22 ducks and 50 chicken eggs together. About 21 ducks hatched and I still have chicks hatching this morning. SO far I think 40 chicks have hatched and there are still about 5 pipped. PHEW! I just misted the duck eggs twice a day and added the chicken eggs a week after the ducks so they would hatch at the same time. Worked pretty darn good Id say! It can be done Very Happy Good luck!

Okay, so mist twice a day and keep the humidity set at 45% during incubation? I think I will incubate the ducks in the Brinsea but lockdown and hatch in the hovabator so I can up the humidity with out affecting the chicken and turkey eggs. What humidity should I lockdown and hatch with?
