Well with 2 goats producing 1 gallon a day between the 2 girls and even with a family of 6 the milk is well lets just say bursting out my fridge.
Told the kids to make milkshakes , smoothies , what ever just make some disapear.

In process right now is well 2 gallons of soft goat cheese ready to get put into cheese cloth to hang for the day. Started that yesterday when I had no jars left to put milk into.
You know when I do have to buy goat milk in parts of the year I have no goats in milk I hate the prices it sells for $3.50 L.
First year I canned some yuck that was bad. Then I froze some for a few years Sometimes it's fine and other times it de frosts all lumpy don't know why.
With not being able to give milk away due to regulations is not easy. Sometimes I go out and come back if you get my meaning and friends come over and milk diapears Razz
and before you know it they have some really good soft goat cheese.
But I have no idea how that happens and sometimes I have to throw it away.
Think I will have to spend some time this week makeing some hard cheese , just takes more time to get done.
I have 2 girls coming in to milk and look after my animals, chickens when I go on holidays. One girl I sold her her first goat when she was 16 years old and I helped with learing how to milk. Any way she is coming over in the mornings to milk so I know my milk production should stay good and then it just leaves my new to milking friend to milk in the night time when there is not as much milk so should work out just fine.
So best go sort out some cheese.

You can feed some to the chickens mine love it.
I froze my years supply last year but it does
seperate. But that was in plastic this year
I am going to try glass quart jars.
I also wonder if it keeps better when pasterized.
What about someone that has an orphaned animal
that needs feeding.

Mine was frozen in plastic zip lock bags and pasterized so it's not the reason for it sepertating.
Glass jars a good though and worth a try.
Still not allowed for give milk away for animal use either which to me is wrong.

Do not freeze in Glass jars as they will burst

Zip lock is the best but yes it will seperate but can still be used
and drank if you shake real well when thawed
does not taste as good as fresh but growing up we drank worse (powdered) Yuk

and it will still make cheese

I have frozen in glass and if you do not fill to the brim
I have not had any burst.

Glad it did not happen to you
I raised and milked goats for over 20 years and froze alot of milk only tried glass 2 times and it broke both times on me.
found online
Glass jars can also be used to store frozen foods, but they should not be used to store liquids. If you use glass jars, be sure to choose the wide-mouth, dual-purpose jars that are for freezing and canning. These jars are specially made to withstand freezing and boiling temperatures.

The wide mouth of the jar allows easy removal of partially thawed foods and gives room for expansion during freezing. Leave at least 1 inch of headspace (the unfilled space above food or liquids in jars or freezer containers) for expansion. Also, new lids should be used each time and rinsed in cold tap water before applying to the mouth of the jar.

Standard canning jars with shoulders can be used for frozen food storage, but there is a danger of breakage if the jar is filled above the shoulder. Thaw food before removing from these jars. Extra care should be taken when thawing foods stored in glass

So I leave it up to you guys as I will never do it again LOL

wanted to add also when you do freeze it make sure it is real cold before freezing that will help a bit and also if you have a old freezer that is not auto defrost it keeps better
