Hi

My new shipping foams have arrived from the states. I am planning three special orders of quail eggs for some lucky person who wants to get involved with these great birds. Each order will consist of 5 dozen quail eggs plus extras.

In each order there will be 1 dozen Mexican Speckled Bobwhite eggs, 1 dozen Tennersee Red Bobwhite eggs, 1 dozen Blue coturnix eggs ( the first I will have ever sold), and two dozen other coturnix eggs ( mixed colors). Bobwhite eggs take about 23 days to hatch, while coturnix take about 17-18 days.

The first order will be ready to ship on June 11th, the next on June 18th, and the third and final order on June 24th. After that date I will be setting Bobwhite eggs again for myself.

Each order is $50 plus shipping to your location. Orders wiill be filled on a first come, first paid basis. Bank email or Paypal is the fastest way to pay. I will take money orders, no cheques.

The best way to reach me is by email (I check it every couple of hours) or by phone. My email is perryaschofield@gmail.com, my phone is 780-957-2047.

Thanks
Perry

Please note:

You may not get blue egg layers in the first generation from the blue eggs. I am still still trying to fix this gene to get more blue egg layers in the first generation. However if you take the chicks from the blue eggs and breed them back to each other you will start to get some blue egg layers. I hope to have this gene more consistent in another 5 or 6 generations. An added bonus to the blue eggs is that you may get some of my silver coturnixs as I am try to fix the gene in my silver line.

Perry, can you recommend a book for those of us new to quail or a site?
I would love to try out your incredible offer, but not sure if I have the right facilities or abilities.

Hi

This site has some info. I will check for others.

Buttons and Coturnixs can be raised on a floor like chickens. Buttons do not like or stand very cold weather. Coturnixs are as tough as nails. Can stand 40 below with proper sheather and lots of feed available. I only raise Bobwhites in cages with wire bottom. Some people have luck other ways, but in 30+ years I have found wire bottom cages best for Bobwhites, Valleys, Gambles, Blue Scale, and mountain Quail.
