Wouldn't it be great to see some photos of all these.

Unwrap and cut bottom off of 2 liter pop bottles. minigreenhouse to stick over your seedlings when you plant them out. I leave the cap off so extra heat can vent out.

Poor B. I bet you never let her run with scissors, or play with gas while smoking either.

Glad I didn't grow up in your house.

Pfft, Hillbilly, what do you know! I CAN tell that you were not beaten enough as a child. Horsey Teen runs with scissors all the time, like, every day practically. Oh yeah, high risk living around here!

OH! I keep and re-use those wax paper bags from inside cereal boxes. Muffins, left over pizza, slice and use to cover a roast on a plate, you name it. A handy, dandy, wax paper bag...why toss them out when you can use them to pack a picnic lunch? (for a fishing person with their life jacket on their butt)

Good lord! The wind could come along, whip that wax bag thing out of my hand while I'm holding my sandwich, land on my head, and I could suffocate out where noone would hear my muffled, inside-a-bag screams of death!

fill pop bottles/ milk jugs with water, turn upside down and push into the ground gently, instant plant waterer if you have to go away for a couple days.

This has been a really awesome post to read through.

I have to say though, moments ago, I just discovered a new use for a common thing: my smartphone.

I hate that I have one, but I do and won't make excuses or say I don't enjoy its company, but I actually found it useful. I have 34 eggs in my borrowed bator, got curious, realized I didn't have a flashlight, so I downloaded the "Brightest Ever Flashlight App" for the Samsung Galaxy.

It turns out, not only is this amazingly perfect for candling, the camera spot balances the eggs perfectly to make a couple observations and turns without jostling the egg too much.

I SAW VEINS!
