I have my peahens in with my chickens until it warms up (Thursday hopefully) then i will put them in a building with my peacock. He will be so happy, i can't wait!

The peahens are new to the farm so i was told to keep them locked up for 6 weeks so they are familiar with their home, then they will free range Very Happy

At what age do they start laying Question

Hens will be a solid gray colour except on their necks witch usualy has a greenish tinge to it and the males will have barring on their wings with a blue neck.

Does anyone sell hatching egg from Peafowl? And if so, how much?

No peafowl eggs yet. Lots of Narragansett and Guinea eggs. Early
eggs were not fertile but hold high hopes for the newest eggs.
Finally able to collect eggs while they are still warm and the hens
have had a chance to lay a number of eggs. Just waiting for the first
peafowl eggs to arrive. I have not hatched any peafowl eggs since my
hen did not lay any until late Aug. and early Sept. last year and I
did not want to deal with birds that young through the winter. I
hope that she will lay earlier this year however I am better prepared
to deal with later hatches this year.
