Hey everyone,

Well here is something to laugh at.... i had to share this... make sure the brain is working.

So I went out to do chores this am, first of all I was fighting off an IBS flare up so already my mind was out of it. I forgot to wear my sunglasses, although the sun isn't out I find it rather bright on my eyes. So today i went about my business feeding and watering everyone. Hobbling about doing my rounds with my coat hood pulled up over my head, squinting to see and almost double over in pain.

Well I went a walking into the Turkey pen and neglected to duck under their roost.... .Wham! everything went black and the last thing I remember was the Tom's Laughing.. I mean gobbling.
Not sure how long I was out for, but it's obvious I hit my head when I fell to the ground as well. I have a nice goose egg on the top front of my head and a smaller one on the back.
My head is killing me, it took me a few moments to get my self gathered, I woke to my Goose nibbling at me and honking.. Once I got to my feet she buggered off to be with the ducks.

I tell you I am feeling it... on the bright side my flare up stopped! Very Happy

OUCH!!!

Oh ouch Jonny. I have hit my head many of times cleaning my little coops, but never hard enough to knock me out. Hopefully you are going to be ok. Better get someone to check and make sure you do not have a concussion...

Geez Jonny, you have to be more careful! Make sure you are not a bit concussed! I bet your body will be stiff and sore too.

I think you woke up just in time. It sounds like Goose was tasting you and telling everyone else if you were edible or not!!! Laughing

Ouch!
Too bad you didn't get it on video...that could have made you a pile of money.
Rather than a huge lump sum on your head.

Take care of yourself!

LOL...

I had a good laugh about it, I iced it right away so it's not nearly as painful as earlier, by the time I got to Felix's place to drop off his Ice Auger, the advil I took before I left home had kicked in by then.
Like I told Felix this isn't the first time I have hit my head on that silly roost, this week alone. Mad I hit it twice already once on Saturday, again on Monday and then the third time today well....that was the Charm. Shocked Hit the back of my head on some frozen turkey poop as well, so that made things so much more enjoyable.

The only thing that hurts is my pride, lol I swear my Duck were laughing at me, even when I returned home after picking up feed.
I don't think I have a concussion, I will make sure I get checked out just to be sure.

Hey in all I have to laugh about it.... I mean I am sure all the birds here still are.. " haha you see that silly bugger, you think he'd learn from the other day"

Anywho I'm going to go tend to my pride, and avoid my ducks for now Razz

Cheers!

I'm glad you're ok Jonny, having said that- thank you for the laugh!! I keep giggling everytime I think of you lying there knocked out by a roost and having the luck to land on a frozen turkey turd ROFL!! It totally something I could see myself doing. And the birds sampling you to see if you are tasty - must stop laughing, getting a stitch Smile Smile Smile

If you do this regularly, you should put a camera out there. might as well get something from Funniest Videos for your pain.

Ooh, Jonny! Which is worse? Bonking your head or a Tom laughing?

Oh man, Jonny, this is really awful to hear, interesting how you can make a joke out of it Cool , that is a good thing, that you can, in retrospect. You were very fortunate that you were not hurt really badly and unable to help yourself, sigh....I worry about these kind of things all the time. Especially with my Husband, he is the one that will always have things happen to him, don't know why, but he does, like falling off ladders. How can a person fall off a ladder? Sorry, don't get that, but he has a few times, and glad that I was around to help him get the wind back into his body. But knocked out!!! You are really lucky that you didn't hit your head on something else as you fell down to the ground. You had a good day, in that you only had the goose giving you a kiss, smiling...thank you for sharing your story, and so glad that the IBS left, maybe it will be gone, like FOREVER, wouldn't that be just nice. Can't imagine what that syndrome must be like to have, sigh. You be careful from now on, really careful, that is an order!! Beautiful days, CynthiaM.
