Home made Conditioning cages Pics & Video!

Hey everyone,

So I wanted to do my best to follow all the steps in showing poultry, and part of that is the conditioning aspect. I wanted to make sure that my birds were used to being in cages, and on display and being handled. I also wanted them to be in a place where they would stay as clean as possible... so far so good.

So I collected some extra wire and zip ties, and with a budget of 30.00 I got the remaining materials and managed to whip up something that I thought would be suitable in a few hours.
Made from 2x3's 2inch wire mesh, zip ties and one sheet of OSB.
There is a total of 8 pens and each pen is 2ft x 2ft x 2ft, there is a cut out on each pen with a wire door to keep the bird in.

I loved the video, I also really like the eight cages all 2 by 2, and that you did it for 30 bucks is amazing. The next one I make is going to follow the same plan as yours, two rows of four makes for perfect access while not letting them dirty or pick at each other. Well done.
