Get a few pieces of half inch pvc pipe and cut it to the width of the lumber on the edge and insert the tubing into the hole past the poly .Then add a bit of silicone around the pvc and the poly and it should be water proof and allow some of the excess moisture out .I have been in the window industry for years and we refered to it as a weep hole .Putting poly down is good , but condesation will build up under it from the moist soil and as you said in time it will be in need of replaceing .I don't want to tell you what to do , just something that I thought should be included with the roof design .We normally put a weep hole every two to three feet in a window , allowing condensation and any moisture a escape .Thats all I wanted to say Embarassed

No, I totally understand. I am not offeneded in any way, as these were not my plans. But some person who had obviously never built something before. I had to change at least 1 thing per 'step' of their plans. It was rather annoying. Of course there ware many things I would do differently now that this one is done, but you have to learn somehow. I am very happy with the way this one turned out. Hopefully Liz is too. And LIZ if youre NOT happy with it.. please tell me. I cant really get out there to fix anything on it, but I'm sure k.r.l could help with anything thats bothering you. It was a challenge just due to their plans being so out of wack and it being a first time building it. I am happy with it, as I said. And I hope you are.
