poor chicken..never would have thought

Husband meets me in the barnyard last night and says we have lost another chicken!
The poor thing had gotten behind a bale of hay and couldn't get out. We couldn't see it there of course because the stack is pretty high up front right now..It froze/starved to death...
lesson to self-stack the hay tight!

Oh my!

Very sad.... It does happen but it is still very sad

Glad it isn't just me finding dead birds and even a fox trapped by the hay... Makes me feel rotten!

They can be a little 'not smart' sometimes. Not nice but I think is has happened to many of us.
