Oh geeze, now isn't that just the most wonderful thing to hear? I have not gone yet to the IPE, but will this weekend. Wonder if Alyssa has brought the dude home, or if he is staying for a little while yet, maybe I will have to go there today and see, smiling. Alyssa did buy a starter flock of buff orpingtons from me, a male and a female, of a young age, and two more gals that were a couple of weeks younger. One of the younger ones ended up being a male, sigh...sometimes they are hard to gender, smiling now. She came last week and traded the little male (not the one that one the award at the IPE), for another female of a young age, about 10 weeks old, and another pullet the same age, so she would not be lonely. I know Alyssa was happy with how my birds looked, and she was pleased. I had absolutely no clue that she was taking any to the IPE. Good for Alyssa!! Welcome to the world of poultry fancy, I know you are knew to chickens and am happy that you have had a most wonderful beginnings....yay!! Cherish that acknowledgement, that you too had a part in this, you take beautiful care of your birds, and this can help so much when you want something nice. This is a pat on the back for you and for me. With that, have a most beautiful day, CynthiaM.
