My sister and family are camping at Lac Le Jeune on a high plateau above Kamloops, BC and they had a thick dew which then froze. The picnic table was a sheet of ice. Crying or Very sad Seems early to me.

Believe me, if I could make it stop I would!!
I was hoping for a long, warm indian summer here. It may still happen, that last 2 days and mornings have been pretty nice.

You guys are sure having some wierd weather that way as of late ? seems it's done a turn around and we are basking in the warm weather now for the last few years while you are getting what we were ""used"" to ! Still in the teen's at night here ,daytime temps anywhere from +25C to +32C and it doesn't seem to want to go away anytime soon .

-3 here Friday morning....hit some of my beans, all my squash, cukes and zukes have "burn patches". Sounds like it isn't supposed to happen for the next week at least. Hoping for at least 2 more weeks though.....

There was a lady guest whom stayed at the b&b last night. When we did the tour of the farm she was telling me that I do not have much time to prepare for winter and named a host of signs that indicated (to her) winter was coming soon and she said it was going to be cold. Some things she mentioned were the thick coats already on the livestock, the turning of the leaves, the colour of the dusk sky, and the work of the beavers. I wonder...

We haven't had our first yet either, but it's only two weeks away from our average first frost. So a frost now wouldn't really be all that unusual. I think we have a tendency to just get a little freaked whenever the first cool days come.

Little odd to get a first frost during a half moon though...

Plus eleven here this morning and plus twenty at noon. Decidely cooler than about two weeks ago. The last couple mornings we have hauled house coats and blankets for our morning coffee which we are now enjoying inside instead of on the deck. Our first frost usually arrives around the middle of September, but as couple years ago arrived in early November.
