how many ducklings?

i am flying ducklings/ a bucnh of chicks to newfoundland next week. depending on how many hatch , how many ducklings do i need to put together for them to stay warm so i know if i can ship them or not. thanks!

heheheeh reading this back to myself this sounds like one of those brain teaser questions...

If you are shipping them in a chick type box (With the dividers for 25 chicks each) I would put at least 12 ducklings together, maybe even a heat pack under the padding for them. They are bigger than chicks so I do not like to put them together when shipping, although some hatcheries do it...
How long is the flight?

not sure he is booking it, i would imagine its a looong flight 6 hrs? 4 hrs? i am putting heat packs in, but i am not alloud to ship in boxes like the hatcheries has to be airline approved crates so i have to buy 3 crates i will have the ducks seperate from the chicks..... so i will shoot for 12 ducks then at least, with 18hr heat pack. chicks they reccomended me NOT to use grow gel as they step all over it and get chilled so i am going to put container with wet sponge with "electrolites in the water /sponge plus apples and food/ heat packs ...hope that does it!!

I shipped a puppy to newfoundland and i believe it took 8 or 9 hrs. I had to call one of the stops and get their approval because there was only 30 min between the flight landing and the flight leaving.

Goodluck I hope it all works well, I would think 12 ducklings would be good in a small crate.
