Not having a good year.

You all know I lost my Dad at the end of June, well I just found out my 84 year old Mother has lung cancer. At this point it sounds like it is in the early stages and there may be things that can be done, but we won't know for sure before she see the specialists. Not a good year for me!

I am very sorry to hear this. It has been a really tough year for you. My dad also has lung cancer in both lungs.., emphysema and heart disease. There is nothing more they can do for him. I just take it one day at a time sometimes one hour at a time. The hardest part for me is watching him struggle to breathe.I know it won't be much longer but he keeps fighting. I am sending healing hugs for you and your mom. Just be there for her and listen when she needs to talk. Take care. If you need someone to listen to you please pm or email me. Sorry Coopslave about your parents. It is very hard to watch the ones we love get sick and pass, it is good that they caught your mom's cancer early so hopefully they can extend her life and hope for a good quality of life as well.

Coopslave, sorry to hear this. There is never a good time for any of this. I am sure your Mom is stronger than you think, but ye, be there and listen. You girls will give her comfort when things are uncertain. Be positive and close by if she needs you and she will thank you for it! You take care of yourself too and remember worrying never changed anything.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It has been a tough week. Found out about Mum on Tuesday and Dad`s Celebration of Life is on Friday. To top it all off I have had the worst tummy bug I think I have ever had. Even worse than the crypto I had last year.
I will be glad whent he week is over. I am trying hard not to make everyone around me feel as miserable as I do!
