An invitation to ALL of you!

Next Sunday, March 2 at 1:00 LynnA and Chicken Crack will be coming to my place for coffee. I live 20 minutes east of Drayton Valley Alberta. I would love to have more people out to visit!

I am extending an open invitation to all chicken lovers to join us!

Please PM or email with your RVSP please and I swill send you directions! It would be wonderful to have more people here than chairs...don't worry, I will find a place for everyone to sit in my humble little home. Doug says he will make the coffee! He makes a mean coffee!

Wish I lived closer Sue I would definitely be there. Sounds like a nice little get together in the making.

Absolutely! I would LOVE to see you again, IPF. Any time you are in the area let me know. I will get a bunch of local chickeners together. You shocked the socks off me last time you appeared in Evansburg!   

Well darn...I'm headed past that area on Feb 27 (or maybe 28 now) and headed back around march 6...I miss out.

quite frankly it sucks. I wish I was nearer too. It would be so nice to come to your place, there is the risk I'd become antisocial and just hook up with admiring the sewing machines and pottery which I imagine dwells in all corners of your house. Will you have your loom (loaner) by then?

IPF, you make me giggle! I was shocked that you actually drove from Vancouver Island all the way to Alberta just to attend a Chicken Coffee Chat! Do you often make 30+ hour return drives for a three hour event?   

(Now, before you all think IPF is just a little crazy, in all fairness, she WAS here in Alberta anyway!   )

IslandGal...you could change your schedule...or...come for a another visit when you come out for tracking.

Magdalen, do I need to pat you down before you leave? Still thinking about time for loom visiting in Radium. You know, you would like LynnA. She will be bringing some Shetland wool she spin for me...the whole reason for coffee in the first place!

that's funny Sue. I was thinking I had been rude in saying it sucks. I'm just envious - would be quite nice to visit and I think it is a really nice idea. You would not have to pat me down! How could I get out the door with an elna su stashed under my wing?? Small teapot for jasmine tea maybe, or handful of shetland locks. Hmmm. Has been a while since I chewed the fat with another spinner, would be nice :-). Right now I am in fabric mode though, have entered the other side of my brain, it shares a few ganglion with spinning but only in regards to organising stash. sorry. tired. rambling.

I wonder if I'm just seeing things but seems there are two types of cultural differences when it comes to travel in this country. I see there are some folks who never (NEVER) travel more than an hour from their home town, the one they were born in, and others who think nothing of travelling 30 hrs for a cuppa cha with friends . . . or business . . . or to get their chickens processed . . . or pick up groceries etc. This is probably the same in other countries actually, now I think of it there are a few in NZ like that. Just a few, there are only a few people there to begin with. Ok. too tired for conversation.

I will be there in spirit, but I like my coffee nice, with a bite. It sounds like it could be fun too bad you are so far away.

Well Sue if I think we should meet in the middle one day near Edmonton - now that would be fun! I might even get Authentic and Buff and Pollywog to come! We might have to bring the children though - however you would love the children - they are great

Karaandblue, that is not half way to my house   . I think one day we should meet up at a hot spring somewhere, I am just fishing but it is a totally peachy idea to my mind which is sick of cold stuff.

I think we had a meet set up for last year driven by sue and a dog show she was coming to but it fell apart for some reason ( shortly after I said I would come, but I don't think that was the reason.....maybe)
