I am sure it is a rare breed and needs to be kept warm but still a beautiful bird.

You are right! With those double eyes and perfect pattern it looks photoshopped. I find bird feathers amazing. I can stare at my guineas for hours and boggle at how the feather surface looks three dimensional. 

This Bird is all real . There are a few people in Canada that breed this type of pheasant .

what an extraordinary looking bird. nature wow's me sometimes. and yeah, grass, what a nice idea   . I'm noticing the longer days, you are all thinking it's in her head and maybe it is but I don't care! it works for me so I'm happy.

I need one of those! Its so cool.

I have seen pictures of this type of pheasant before, I thought it was a wild fowl, I am glad to hear such a beauty is domesticated.
