Here are the new chicks from one of my Wyandotte projects

White times Buff - to increase size and type on Buffs

Hatched 4 out of 5 fertile eggs (5 of 5 were fertile). One chick pipped but did not hatch

Here are the chicks from generation two of my making barred Wyandottes. First 6 eggs - all fertile - 6 live chicks.
marked just like Barred Rocks.

Here is the picture in a bigger size.  I culled down to two Pullets out of about 20 and 1 roo out of about 15.  I
The second generation should produce about 25% with single comb and 25 % that will be a 100% Wyandotte type but with barring. The thing I have to do is pick the most Wyandotte type roo and breed them back to a Black Wyandotte hen. If all the chicks have Wyadotte type combs then I am off to the races and need only to work on type.  If their are any single comb you need to discard that roo and try another. You want to make sure you have the double gene for the Wyandotte comb.  I will supply a black Pullets next year to who ever buys this trio so they can work on their generation 3.
