There is never too much time to make a TV ad! Especially if it sells product.
My favorite Rube Goldberg machine is the one OK Go created for their music video. This must have taken days, and as you can see by all the paint, they didn't run it just once.

This one is a Honda ad. The machine parts are entirely Honda car parts. Brilliant!
