Im really looking forward to this show!  sunny
Bathing chickens is so much easier in the summer - hopefully the weather will dry up a bit by then!

I also entered 10 Steve using the CHB online registration form. I could not however get PayPal to allow me to pay the correct registration fee. I'm sure i did something wrong Rolling Eyes Hopefully some one can help me out or will allow me to pay at the show.

A 10am start will mean a very early morning, good thing the days are so long this time or year. I'll have to get up before the chickens!

sure wish we were going to be going up there, but the timing is bad for us this time unfortunately.
It will be so nice to display them out of doors! HOpe it is a huge success!

I am fixing the PayPal issue as we speak. Sorry its taken me a few days to get it sorted out, the farm had me distracted all last week. Michelle, you are one of the people I will be contacting personally to sort out your entry payments

The PayPal payment page is now functioning properly. Anyone who was having trouble and would like to complete their online entry payment please go here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
and just click the add to cart button, where it will take you to a PayPal checkout page that now does allow updating the number of birds entered.

How many birds are going to be at this show?
I kept my entries on the low side because I thought it was going to be casual. The way you guys are bathing birds, sounds like you are all bringing your flocks Laughing

Around 100 birds so far, and we're expecting quite a few more to come in as the deadline approaches! It's still going to be a really relaxed show, but there will be lots going on too.

A huge bonus is that the judge will be going through the birds along with the exhibitors so everyone showing can get tips and pointers right from the source, something we don't always get a chance to do in our larger shows.

And you can always change your entry before the deadline if you want!

Think I'll just stick to what I entered. Going to be busy smoozing and checking out the pie. Razz

Can't wait to see what everyone brings to the show!
My young Buff Cochins are such cute little fluff balls, but alas too small to bring to this show. Hmmm...unless I sneak them in as bantams...

Exhibitors will be allowed to sell birds in the show as always, so you can always approach the exhibitors at the show.

Speaking of exhibitors, only one day left to get your entries in!

It is just north of Bower Mall and easy to find. You can google map Sunnybrook Farm museum, Red Deer and decide on your best route depending what direction you are coming from.

Hey everyone,

Tomorrow will be a blast and I hope you all have a really great time at the lawn show tomorrow.
I will not be in attendance, nor will Karrie.
I am still fighting off a sinus infection and a chest infection, so needless to say I've been a big baby spending most time on the couch, getting up to do chores and the odd project around the yard. but resting up mainly.

Karrie was supposed to be off this weekend but she got scheduled to work as her company is under a major transition, she has been working at least 10 hours a day for the past 3 weeks no day off really.

Anywho as much as we would love to attend, we will have to pass.

This will be my first show I haven't attended in a while, kind of feeling bad about not being there, but health comes first!

So have fun everyone and I look forwards to all the pics and show report!

I'm out of bed and having a quick coffee. Then out to load the chickens into the truck to start the trip. It's dark and 1.3C here, I can see frost on the deck from the pale light of the rising sun. Good thing all the chooks will be riding in the cab. Looking forward to see everyone who's attending in about 5 hours....
