I was inspired by silkie's eye of the horse  pic so was trying for some of those but got this one that I really liked, thought Id share it with you guys. This is a young mare that we were given last year, she is turning out to be quite a promising cowhorse.
And here's the horse I mostly ride, he is built kind of funny compared to our quarter horses as he is a Tennessee Walker, a bit of a job to get up on him but then you don't want to get off, he is so smooth and comfortable with his running walk, and the view is pretty good too!horse pics P6146111

stunning!!!  he is so beautiful!

one of the things I discovered last year is that I can ride again!!  took quite awhile, but now that I can- I am excited...  might spend the next year or so looking to replace my horse (cougar got him the first winter I was sick Sad).  not sure exactly what I want, other than a sound not-crazy horse! ahaha

Don't know why, but I am drawn to those Walker body types. They remind me of basic old farm horses from back in the day before horses became stylish. Walkers often have very decent bone and a sensible hoof. Horse Daughter says their heads are unrefined, whatever that means. I like that head, it's honest and unassuming. I think your horse is gorgeous. Great pics.

You are right Uno, he is  a lot more like a draft horse than a quarter horse look, here's one that shows more of his different shape:
And I think unrefined is a nice way of saying he has a plain face!
I agree with Hidden though that the black mare, now SHE has a pretty face!
