These are now mine, as my son sold his and gave me some eggs to hatch out for mother' Day!
They are loving all the rain we have had lately.

well you know where to get some if you ever want some more!
Seriously they are so much easier to look after than chickens, if it wasn't for the fact I want eggs all winter, I think I might only keep waterfowl!
Only thing about them is that we have had lots of rain lately and they don't go looking for shelter like a chicken would, yesterday we got a real hail storm and Im running around trying to herd them/pick them up, getting soaked and hit with hail and they are standing around with their beaks in the air trying to catch the hail in their mouths!!

And the ducklings do grow, I finally remembered how you tell the boys from girls again, the boys have yellower beaks and get that eye stripe sooner.

I was so happy last night, they figured out how to put themselves to bed so now I don't have to herd them in and close the door anymore.

And I moved the younger ones outside too now, they look just like plush toys don't they?

That's pretty cute, lol. Not sure I agree on the easier to keep than chickens part though, Razz  as I found the reverse to be true. BUT to be fair I was watering inside and the duck hut was only 4 feet high, so it was a crawl in on hands and knees kind of setup. Not the best by far and doomed from the start, lol. What I'd really like to try again are geese, but a nice, friendly breed and not imprinted on myself because that did not go over well. Doubt I'll ever convince hubby though, I think I ruined him for life. haha I'm sure he still has nightmares about the snapping bills and rolling, red eyes....Rolling Eyes Laughing
