Give her some eggs and let her hatch a clutch! It is a sure fire solution!

I have a couple of broody hens and if I had the space i would like to give them some eggs, but no room at the inn at the moment.

Depending on the breed and the determination of the bird you may only have to try the first and if that doesn't work then the 2nd will work for sure.

Just keep taking her off her nest a couple times a day, encouraging her to go outside (with a little help) and at night put her on her roost with the others and after 3 or 4 days, she may stop. This has worked for two of my bantam breeds.

If that doesn't work put a metal dog crate with a wire bottom that they can walk across in the coop. Give them food and water and leave them in there for 3 or 4 days - longer if they've been broody for a long time. This way they cannot keep their vents warmed as the cool air comes up from underneath, and as someone once put it, it cools their 'jets'. The dog cage needs to be elevated off the ground. I place mine on two roosts that are level with one another.

One of my breeds is so broody, I just leave the dog cage in there ongoing and put them in at the first sign of broodiness.

If I'm not interested in a girl staying broody, I toss her off the nest, literally. I don't punt her or softball pitch her, but I do toss her up into the air so she's forced to spread her wings.

HaHa that was me. I use a wire cage on a couple pieces of firewood in the coop so they're not alone, but separated, and off the ground. Has always worked for me.
