Blue Birchen Marans - Vancouver Island, BC

Our flock of blue birchen marans is laying up a storm!
We used the influence of Blue Marans bloodlines in breeding these to improve upon their egg color as well as bird size. They are still a work in progress but after one generation of scrupulous breeding here we have noticed huge improvements already!

You twisted my arm The first batch of babies is due to hatch Monday AND on the weekend a friend is lending us their big Sportsman!!!! I am really excited because I have been working with small incubators to try to curb my obsession slightly. Not that this has worked! To hovabators, a Eco Brinsea and now a Korean Brinsea copy I "accidently" won on eBay..... Do you still have my email? Monday I will know how many more Coros and Americaunas I should purchase from you to add to the Birchen order

These birds were selected from two different lines out of the states. Last year we raised a huge number of chicks and kept them all on the property to select this year's breeding flock. We used the influence of Blue Marans bloodlines to improve upon their egg color as well as bird size.
