I've never done this and I'm not sure if it's the best way to mark ducklings. I have one duckling which I'd like to mark somehow so I'm sure to keep it and then also to keep it marked so it doesn't get used for breeding in the future. I may be wrong but those duck legs grow soooo quickly and it's seems when they stretch out their legs that the webbed part is actually smaller than the leg. I used those colored plastic-like kids hair elastics on my sons bantam chicks I just wonder if they'd stay on ducklings. So I'm wondering how everyone marks their waterfowl as ducklings and then as adults.
Thanx
