Well Guess we are picking up our Blue Sumatra's This week Cant wait to get them
Hope to have some nice show birds for next year
also getting a few Delawares and some White Chanti's old type from a closed flock that go back to the old type that had that Cornish build and weight
Oh well I better tell Darwin he needs to make a couple more indoor Coops LOl
Hope to post pics when I get them

Blue Sumatras?!?!?! How pretty! Is this an APA recognised color, or something someone is working on?

Hi Sue yes they are real pretty
and they breed like other Blue poultry
You get Black , Blue, and can get splash
The Splash is not Recognized
The Black is and the Blue is Recognized
so Hope to hatch some nice ones and maybe show them

I will for sure take Pics as soon as I get them and they settle in a bit


Sumatra's are one of the breeds Closest to wild of many of the modern breeds so they can be flighty but they calm down with alot of handling and once calm they make great show birds. Until then they scream like crazy if you pick them up
