I am a begrudging Costco shopper. I hate the crowds, but have learned that if you go early, about 15 minutes after they open to avoid line-up, it isnot too bad. There are a few Kirkland products that I really like and stock up about once every other month. I buy some meat, but we seem to always have a freezer full of free meat as payment for feed grain or labour. I was given a membership for Christmas once and the cheque I get from "cash back" has always paid for the yearly membership. In the end, I like to shop local as the store owner is a family friend and if I want a certain product, I just ask and it arrives on the shelf a week later.

Sing it with me.....

"I wanna go where everybody knows your name!"

Sue! It was not me who said farm eggs taste like poverty. That was someone else, quoting someone else. I said that I don't often eat them fried but do find myself eating fried eggs when I eat in a restaurant and wondered aloud if this had something to do with their strong flavour. I went on to say that I LOVE MY FARM EGGS SCRAMBLED... I have been misquoted. I am offended!

I am now going to go away in a huff and think bad thoughts about you.

But you DO admit you eat (and like!) fried eggs in restaurants, and those are almost certainly "store bought" eggs.

Hi I do go to Costco for certain things. For instance my daughter
actually figured out how much each square of toilet tissue cost
per brand and the kirkland was the cheapest. Although I live alone I do
buy their tissue and it saves my money I also buy the big pails of
clothes soap because I wash lots and lots of dog bedding. I try to buy
Canadian when I can and I do not buy anything from China doesn't matter
what store I am in . As far as being crowded. During the day I
find the store easy to shop in maybe its just the one store.

Ooh, that accounts for that prickly feeling I have had all day! I am the one who quoted a friend of a friend who said farm eggs taste like poverty.

Ok, it is just fried eggs them. I am so glad to get this straight!

We sure are an easily offended bunch these days! Or perhaps I shouldn't say that as the risk of offending someone! Razz
