I never really had the chance to know my grandparents. Mum was 38 when she had me and lost her dad in his thirties. Mums mum was a little peculiar and didn't live long into her elder years either.

I wasn't old enough to remember Dad's dad, but I do have some memories of his mum. She smelled funny and always had candy! Laughing

I guess she lived in our house for a while, but it was not a happy time. Bit of conflict with to mature women in one house that loved one man (dad) so I can imagine the friction. Obviously I blocked all that stuff out of my memory!!! Rolling Eyes I would have been pretty young, 4 or 5.

Still remember the smell and candy though......
