Tubby my Dexter cow finally had her calf on Monday night! She is/was sooooooo big we thought for sure she had to have twins in there but, she is just a very healthy girl LOL. An easy keeper so to speak. Baby tubby is a cool grey colour with brown/red undertones and black points. Tubby is such a good momma ... always talking to baby and making sure where she is. I will be milking Tubby in another week, after the colostrum is all gone. Was going to try my new milk machine on her but her teats are very fat so not sure if the suction cup things will work on her Very Happy

I would love to post a pic of Baby Tubby if someone can post it for me ... still dont know how to use photobucket. Then if there are recommendations for names that would be awesome cause I cant keep calling her Baby Tubs LOL.

I really like Baby Tubs and then Baby as an adult. She is beautiful.

Oh what a cute little baby tubs. I think that her name as an adult should be Tubs, or as suggested, Baby. Darling as darling can be. I think when I get a milker, one fine day, and I know that I will (picture how much creamo we use around here at my Daughter's, like at least a litre a day a milker could warrant that, smiling) a Dexter would be a perfect size, they produce a smaller amount of milk, from my understanding and that would be just right. That is one cute little gal for surely, loved the picture and so glad that someone put it on for ya, yay!!! Beautiful days, CynthiaM.

All heifers would be great!

Cerrie the little Highland is due in July and Josie the Jersey/Dexter is due in August. Next year I will have Canadienne babies thanks to heddagobbler:).

She is sooo cute. She looks like she is scowling or 'frowing' her brow at the camera. Although I love Baby Tubs, here are some others I would consider naming our future cow:

Stella
Greta
Lulu
Charlotte (from Charlotte's web)
Ginger
Daisy (of course!)
Nutmeg

Good luck and congratulations!

For some reason Baby Tubs seems to be sticking LOL. However, I do not foresee her being as plump as her momma Laughing she still looks preggers. Hubby says she could get fat chewing her cud. Nothing wrong with an easy keeper I say.
