Looking for someone to care for 25 Australorp Chicks from today till Wetaskwin Sale

Anybody coming to the Wetaskiwin sale in June, willing to watch 25 Australorp chicks for me?
The breeder had them set to come on the bus (even though I have never thought he could), but they were at the depot since last night and they just phoned him now saying they would not ship them.
So what I am wondering if anyone in the Smokey Lake Area would pick them up and then brood them till Wetaskiwin for me, and meet me there on the 16th with them?
I would pay for a bag of feed for them, and whatever other brooding fees would be involved.
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I was really anticipating bringing this line into my flock, and would hate to lose it now.

wow sure hope someone can do this for you, tough situation to be in...is there no possibility they could send them by ACE courier to MH for you?

I am waiting to hear from him again about that, not sure he wanted to drive 120 km one way to get them to Edmonton...But that would be the best option for me.

if they could get a ride to edmonton i could sure look after them for you!

Thanks Janet, I am in talks with another lady that was in on this order from him as well, just waiting to hear back from her. The closest he is going to Edmonton is Fort Saskatchewan on Saturday. Not sure if that helps anyone to help me??

I can drive to the Fort Saskatchewan to pick them up, but don't know if I can make it to the show so if anyone else I can drive them to to get them moving your way. If that helps at all. Is Jonny Anvil going to the show as I could drive them from the Fort to Jonnys??

I have arranged things with the lady that is getting the other order of chicks, she is going to do the leg work for me. Just found out she is on this forum as well, so thank you so much, MichelleS. I look forward to meeting you and getting my babies when I come to Wetaskiwin.

The chicks are here, all snuggled warm with full tummies in their brooder. It has been a long day for them but we made it.
