The ‘Urban Coop’
This coop is ideal for urban placement, small yards, or great for the bigger farm as well. Overall size is 3.5’x8’ long. The coop section is 3.5’x3’, with a 1’x3.5’ laying nest area, that is accessible from the easy access lid from the outside. The run extends the full 7’, and is constructed with hardware cloth for strength and security against predators. This coop also features a large man door (with a small window), a 3’ roost, large gate into the run, and an easy climb ramp for the chickens. Hen door options are either a ‘pop’ door, which opens/closes the door via a pull rope (pictured here), or a hinged latching door. Entire coop is constructed with plywood and spruce lumber, no OSB here! The roof comes standard with plain exterior grade plywood. Asphalt shingles can be added for $50.00 OR Upgrade to a garden roof for $75.00
