I entered this last year and out over about 1200 entries I placed in the top 200 and was published. Because I'm so worried about my copyrights being stolen, etc. (though as long as my work is shared and not claimed or used for profit I don't really mind), I did some research, called them directly and read through all the fine print and the copyright is safely yours.
They send you a bookmark as an entry gift and there is no entry fee. I wouldn't mind seeing some of you wonderful writers published in that book as it's placed in the national archives.
I should still buy the book I was published in before it's out of print. Damn.
