Hi
I talked to my good friend Wade Jewer in Newfoundland. He raises many rare gamebirds. I am planning on ordering several birds from him this spring for fall delivery. Among the many birds he raises are White Bobwhites, Erkel Francolins, Black Francolins, Chinese Bamboo Partridge, Mountain Bamboo Partridge, Yellow Throated Francolins, White Albino Chuckers (hope to have) , Barbary Partridge, Swinhoe Pheasants, and several other breeds.. I would like to find other people interested in ordering some so we could split the cost of shipping. The way I have done this in the past is we count the total number of birds, divide it into the shipping price, and each person pays so much per bird. Large birds like Erkel Francolins and Impeyans count as 3 regular birds due to their size (much bigger then Bobwhites or Black francolins). If you are interested in being part of such a order please let me know. I will be talking to him tonight to get prices, etc.
Let me know if you would be interested.
Plans are to have the birds come in this fall to Edmonton on the weekend of the Innisfail auction. That way I could pick them up and distribute them to everyone.
